Happy Wednesday, Stingrays!

Tomorrow night, we will face the Riss Lake Riptides at our Willow Farms Pool. This will be our last HOME meet of the season as we will be at the Coves on Tuesday (more to come on that meet). 

Below are a few announcements to keep in mind as you prepare for the meet.

Warm Ups:

New Mark swimmers will warm up between 4:45 pm and 5:15 pm. Plan to arrive by 4:30pm.

Parking:

Parking is available along the streets near the pool – for example, N. Lydia Ave. Our parking lot is for Officials, Handicap, and Coaches. Additionally, there is no parking on the pool (east) side from the south gate to the first house. That is pool side only. This area will be blocked and flagged off.

Concessions:

We will again have wonderful concessions led by Julie Ingham for sale in the pool cabana, and Lilo’s Shaved Ice will be in the parking lot. Heat sheets will also be available for sale on the pool deck by the south gate for $1.00 each.

Crash Area:

• All swimmers, parents, and spectators must sit outside of the fenced-in area. Families will be allowed crash on grassy areas on the outside the fence.
• Please make sure to bring tarps or blankets that you don't mind getting dirty as the crash area can be damp. Tents are welcome in the grassy area. We also recommend mosquito repellent.
• PLEASE STAY OFF THE LANDSCAPE. (Bushes, landscape pavers, rocks, and mulch)
• The POOL chairs that are plastic may NOT be used at swim meets! Please do not touch these stacked chairs.
• Willow Farms has installed a smoking bench. They're asking that we stay off that grassy area and away from the smoking bench when crashing. It is only for smokers and if you are a smoker please deposit your butt in the receptacle provided.

Spectators:

Spectators will be allowed to come in and watch their swimmer swim and then they must exit. Please be courteous in this area, allowing parents who have children in the current heat to get to the front to see their children swim. When your child has finished swimming, please exit the pool deck to make space for the next parents. This allows a chance for everyone to see their child! A friendly reminder that no parents are allowed behind the blocks.

Clerk of the Course:

Our Clerk of the Course area is inside the fence in the Southeast corner of the pool near the blocks. As this area can be congested, we ask that parent spectators drop their child with the Clerks of the Course and head to a spot to watch their swimmer swim.

Meet Theme:

We invite you to join our Tie Dye party tomorrow night.  Wear your new tie dye shirts or dig out Grandma's, either way, join in on a little fun to celebrate our last home meet.

***Picture Day***

As mentioned earlier, we will have New Mark picture day on Friday morning. That's right, we were able to schedule our very own Kayla Sheer to take pictures of our swimmers this year. We will plan to do a Team Photo of all the athletes at 9:00am, followed by Individual Athlete photos for anyone who is interested. Remember, we will have donuts after the team photo, however we'll save the Fun Swim for our Team Banquet next Thursday, July 15th.
